This role is crucial in supporting our upcoming projects, including the migration of dashboards and analytics to Power BI, consolidation of data stores, and the development of data lakes, leveraging MS Fabrik. Additionally, this role will involve collecting requirements for modifications to our sub-ledger platform, which applies ASC606 revenue recognition rules to contracts with customers for monthly financial bookings into the general ledger.
Key Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and document business requirements for new and existing operational reporting needs.
    • Develop comprehensive Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) that clearly outline the functional and technical specifications.
    • Work closely with BI Engineers/Developers, Data Analysts, and Report Developers to translate business requirements into technical requirements.
    • Collect and document requirements for modifications to the sub-ledger platform, ensuring compliance with ASC606 revenue recognition rules.
  2. Project Management Support:
    • Assist the SCRUM Master in managing project timelines, ensuring that deliverables align with business expectations.
    • Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospective meetings to ensure continuous communication between the BI team and business stakeholders.
  3. Data Integration & Validation:
    • Work with the Data Architect and BI Engineers to understand data flows from Salesforce CRM, Epic AMS, and Accounting General Ledger into the centralized data store.
    • Ensure that data integration processes meet business requirements and assist in validating the data for accuracy and completeness.
    • Collaborate with Accounting and Finance teams to ensure that sub-ledger modifications align with general ledger requirements and financial reporting standards.
  4. Reporting & Analytics:
    • Collaborate with business users to design and prototype dashboards and reports in Power BI that meet business needs.
    • Provide support in the transition from legacy reporting platforms to Power BI.
    • Ensure the BI solutions are scalable, sustainable, and aligned with the organization's strategic goals.
  5. Stakeholder Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication between business units and the BI team.
    • Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to review project progress, resolve issues, and gather feedback.
    • Distribute email communications from a shared mailbox for milestone deliverables.
  6. Quality Assurance:
    • Work closely with QA Testers to ensure that delivered solutions meet the specified requirements and are free of defects.
    • Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and coordinate with stakeholders to obtain sign-off on deliverables.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within a Business Intelligence or Data Analytics environment.
