All work completed by the system administrators which pertain to the LOB systems will be under the guidance/direction of the CTSS team. The system administrators will meet the minimum requirements as outlined in the P-123 document. The minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. The system administrators will be required to meet (either in-person or virtually) on a periodic basis (as defined by the CTSS team) to discuss work efforts, issues, track status, priority and direction.
Specifically, System Administrator support to the Technology Directorate owned LOB standalone and networked equipment for:
1) Hardware Maintenance On-Site Support Hardware problem diagnosis
Replacement parts & materials are provided by Technology Engineers and/or Hardware vendors.
Replacement of hardware components under the direction of the CTSS team and the equipment supplier (as required)
Aid engineers with general system related issues
Aid engineers with system design questions for upgrades/new purchases
Consult with CTSS and Engineers on new technology implementations
On-site responses
Standard Office Hours
Standard Office Days (M-F)
This area requires cleared system administrators to perform work on-site to diagnose equipment issues and to replace failed equipment (typically failed hard drives, CPU, memory, fans, motherboards, PCI bus cards, etc…) as required. The system administrators shall provide initial information to the engineers and equipment suppliers with possible remediation solutions. If agreement is made between engineer and equipment supplier (to abide by the warranty clauses), the system administrator will complete the hardware upgrade.
2) Software Maintenance On-Site Support Aid engineers in operating system problem diagnosis
Aid engineers in software problem diagnosis
Implement solutions under the guidance of the CTSS team, engineer, and the equipment's supplier as required.
Provide anti-virus patching services – based on a maintenance schedule
Provide operating system debug & patching services – with concurrence and direction from CTSS, System LOB Owner, and Equipment Supplier
Aid engineers with general system related issues
Aid engineers with system design questions for upgrades/new purchases
Consult with CTSS and Engineers on new technology implementations
On-site responses

This area requires cleared system administrators to perform work on-site to diagnose equipment software issues and to work with engineers and suppliers (when required) to implement updates. At this point decisions will be made as to whether the supplier has to come on-site to implement or the engineers shall complete the work. The equipment warranty will be taken under consideration.
3) Procurement, Auditing, and Documentation Aid engineers in purchasing new equipment using the buyer's internal required process
Work with CTSS team to purchase required equipment via the buyer's internal system or purchasing credit card
Aid engineers in the completion and documentation related to the assessment process
Aid engineers in completing any required audits for the LOB Systems
Aid engineers with general system related issues
Aid engineers with system design questions for upgrades/new purchases
Consult with CTSS and Engineers on new technology implementations
On-site responses

This area requires cleared system administrations to perform work on-site to aid engineers in procurement of any hardware or software. The system administrators will be required to enter the correct internal system data and work with CTSS to compile all procurements. Also included in this area, the system administrators will be required (working with the engineers) to support and complete Risk Management Framework (RMF) documentation, auditing and continuous monitoring work efforts required (in accordance with the Cybersecurity Security Risk Management Process (CSRMP) umbrella process) under the guidance of the CTSS team.
4) Dedicated Support to Technology Directorate Line of Business unit Hardware problem diagnosis

This area focuses on the potential need for CTSS contractor for temporary dedicated support to a Technology Directorate Line of Business unit. Due to the amount of work and the need for consistent response with one knowledgeable of their LOB System, the CTSS contractor would work with engineers in that unit instead of the CTSS Team to get guidance on the work that needs to be performed.
