PlanIT Group is seeking a Technical Lead/ Software SME to support our Federal customer in the Washington, DC area. The ideal candidate will support the Enterprise Content Management Suite of applications. As a developer, they will support the upgrade and maintenance of 13 separate applications. They should have experience with upgrading Documentum Content Servers, Webtop, as well as upgrading from Taskspace to D2. Experience with Open Text Directory Servers would be beneficial.

Technical Lead/ Software SME:
Description:
- Broad and extensive knowledge of the software development process and its technologies. Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns as well as understanding of various coding methods and computer languages. Data modeling and database design experience. Experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
- Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software. Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms. Responsible for project completion. Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
- Evaluate existing software solutions to identify areas for improvement. Oversee architectural approaches from conception to installation.
Required Skills/Experience
This resource will support the Enterprise Content Management Suite of applications. As a developer, they will support the upgrade and maintenance of 13 separate applications. They should have experience with upgrading Documentum Content Servers, Webtop, as well as upgrading from Taskspace to D2. Experience with Open Text Directory Servers would be beneficial.
SME in the following areas:
• OpenText Documentum Software
• Apache Tomcat Environment
• Linux/UNIX OS
Proficient in the following qualifications:
• Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
• Effective liaison leading technical development teams
• Strong facilitation skills to effectively lead discussions across multiple groups
• Oral and written communication skills including presenting to management
• Knowledge/experience with Agile Methodologies
• Knowledge/experience of SDLC practices
• Change Management and Configuration Management (VersionOne, ServiceNow, etc)
• Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
• Problem/Risk Management
• MS Office Suite
Additional Required Skills/Experience:
o A minimum of eight (8) to twelve (12) years' relevant experience.
o A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable field of services is required. If the individual's degree is not in the applicable field, then four additional years of related experience is required.
o Typically performs all functional duties independently.
o Note: Special credentials (licenses and/or certifications) may be required at the Task Order level on a case-specific basis. "
Additional Provisions:
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Clearance
• Pass both a client mandated clearance process to include drug screening, criminal history check and credit check.
• All candidates must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident / Green Card required
• Candidate must have lived in the United States for the past 5 years.
• Cannot have more than 6 months travel outside the United States within the last five years. Military Service excluded. (Exception does not include military family members.)
