Introduction
The supplier shall provide personnel responsible for overseeing and maintaining our enterprise RedHat Linux environment. This role involves ensuring the stability, security and performance of these systems. The administrator will handle system administration tasks, perform regular updates and security patches, troubleshoot and resolve issues, and develop robust backup and disaster recovery strategies. This role requires collaboration with IT teams to integrate and support various applications and services, ensuring comprehensive documentation and compliance with security protocols. Additionally, the subcontractor will assist in the development of Plans of Action and Milestone (POA&Ms), Risk Management Framework (RMF) and Risk Based Decisions (RBDs) for deficiencies found during the information system authorization process.

Supplier personnel will take direction from and report status to Reactor Technology (RT) management and technical leads
•
Supplier Personnel will have at least Department of Energy ("Q”) or Department of Defense "Top Secret” level security clearance

Key Responsibilities
•
Administer and optimize RedHat Linux systems, OpenShift, VMWare, and Cloudera platforms including authentication, cluster management, user management, monitoring, performance and data management.
•
Implement and enforce security measures to meet NIST 800-53 standards.
•
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance.
•
Manage system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system integrity.
•
Develop and enforce backup and disaster recovery plans.
•
Provide support for system configurations, user management, and access control.
•
Document system configurations, procedures and updates.
•
Collaborate with IT teams to integrate and manage applications and services
Required Experience
•
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience.
•
At least five years' experience with RedHat Linux, VMware, and OpenShift cumulative,
•
At least two years of experience supporting development of information system security authorization packages in accordance with Risk Management Framework (NIST 800-37, 800-53, 800-53a)
•
Strong understanding of system security principles and experience with NIST 800-53 compliance. Proficient in system performance tuning, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
•
Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Bash, Python).
•
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
Desired Experience
•
At least 3 years' experience with Cloudera Data Platforms (CDP)
•
At least 1 year experience with Denodo data virtualization
•
At least 1 year experience with Neo4j development and administration or other graph database technologies.
•
At least 1 year experience with LakeFS, RedHat OpenShift AI or other data versioning and MLOps tools.
•
Knowledge of infrastructure security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management tools
•
Relevant certifications (e.g., RHCE, VCP, CCA) are a plus.
