Our work depends on a Technical Writer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, M.D. As a Technical Writer supporting the Government,
you will be trusted with providing technical writing support to document all program deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.
In this role, a typical day may include:
¿ Preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, user documentation, etc
¿ Writing and editing technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software requirements to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation
¿ Producing implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; providing field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formatting technical
publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources
¿ Standardizing documentation by creating and implementing templates for all document types
¿ Providing technical writing support to document all Infrastructure Services deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts
¿ Maintaining document library to enable ease of document storage, retrieval, updates, and reviews
¿ Participates in special projects as required
What you'll need:
¿ Effective communication skills
¿ Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editing
¿ Knowledge of and ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications
¿ Knowledge of the organization's products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user's level of understanding
¿ Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite
¿ Self-starter
