Our work depends on a Technical Writer joining our team to support Government activities in Annapolis Junction, M.D. As a Technical Writer supporting the Government,
you will be trusted with providing technical writing support to document all program deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts.
In this role, a typical day may include:
Preparing, reviewing, revising, and maintaining technical documents including software and systems engineering, system operations, testing, user documentation, etc
Writing and editing technical documentation for all the project's hardware and software requirements to include installation, configuration, and how-to documentation
Producing implementation guides and end-user guides for capabilities; providing field, data definition, and data flow documentation and formatting technical
publications from pamphlets, technical drawings, and consultations with technical personnel and other available resources
Standardizing documentation by creating and implementing templates for all document types
Providing technical writing support to document all Infrastructure Services deliverables, functions, processes, and accreditation efforts
Maintaining document library to enable ease of document storage, retrieval, updates, and reviews
Participates in special projects as required
What you'll need:
Effective communication skills
Knowledge of the principles and practices involved in technical research, writing, and editing
Knowledge of and ability to use various word-processing and desktop publishing software applications
Knowledge of the organization's products and services, customer requirements, purpose and structure of required documentation, and end user's level of understanding
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office Suite
